Irish Auto Market is an independent car buying guide for Ireland. We write practical, plain-English guides for people buying, owning and selling cars here, covering the things that actually change what you pay and what you should check: motor tax bands, VRT, NCT, recalls, warranties, running costs and the differences between petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric cars.
What we publish

How we work
- We use official and primary sources wherever possible: manufacturers' Irish price lists, Revenue, the CCPC, the RSA, SEAI and Citizens Information. Sources are listed at the end of each guide.
- We do not invent figures. If a number cannot be confirmed from a reliable source, we leave it out.
- Guides are updated when prices, tax rules or recalls change, and each article shows when it was last updated.
- Photos of new models come from the manufacturers' official press and media material.
